  1. Choose a Dynamic Process (in the tech area of your interest)

  2. Develop a process Dynamic Model

  3. Study the dynamic performance of the process without control (Simulation)

  4. Define system performance specifications

  5. Use Four techniques for designing a proper controller:

 

a. Digitized PID
b. Direct Methods (Closed Form and with Diophantine) c.
Pole Placement (Ackerman’s Formula)
d. Optimal Control

  1. Study system performance with the designed controllers

  2. Write a formal report (MSWord IEEE Single Column Standard).
